SheHacks

In May 2020, I volunteered as a mentor for SheHacks - an all-female virtual hackathon for students in Singapore ages 11-18. I was attached to a group of high school girls, where I helped them with their ideation, design and code for their project.

The event was a success and it re-affirmed the reason why I needed to be a part of these events for girls in technology; it is so important for participants to see somebody who looks like them leading the way.

Such events are also great networking opportunities - you get a chance to connect to other women in tech across Singapore, too.
