ML Research Intern, Jun 2023 - Sep 2023
- Conducted research on machine learning models for predicting epigenomic features from DNA sequence data (single-cell, ATAC-seq)
- Used transformer architecture, CNNs, RNNs, and other deep learning models in PyTorch and Lightning to build models
- Wrote scripts to analyze and visualize data using Python, R, and shell scripting

- Backend engineer, working in the Trust and Safety team.
- Responsible for building the platform that enables machine and human moderation of unsafe content on TikTok.

Software Engineer, Sep 2019 - Apr 2022
- Full stack developer working in the firm’s internal Chaos Engineering team, part of Platform Services.
- Working in an Agile team, I use Python, Golang, ReactJS & Groovy to develop software used by other application developers in the firm.
- I am involved in inception, integration & end to end deployment of features & microservices with CloudFoundry, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bash & ELK stack.
- I also worked on a platform to conduct smoke testing on a large scale.
- Stretch role: Worked in the firm’s CSR initiative - Force for Good - & delivered a technical solution for NGO Sathya Sai Social Services over a period of 8 months. More details here

- Mentored by surgeon Dr Ngiam Kee Yuan, developed machine learning models on patient data
- Built NLP models on ICU data to predict patient re-admission rates
- Wrote scripts to create synthetic data for the annual NUHS-MIT Critical Data hackathon

Software Engineering Intern, May 2018 - July 2018
- Part of the greenfield private Cloud Team at JPMC; we essentially function as a startup, backed by a big financial institution.
- Developed a full-stack web-application using ReactJS, HTML, CSS & Django. Deployed it on the company’s private cloud platform.
- Received a return offer to the same team (Platform Services) to join full-time.

- Organized 10+ events every semester for 1500+ exchange students
- Offered mentorship, answered concerns & provided conflict resolution for exchangers
- Liaised with external organizations to co-ordinate university-wide events
- Developed technical solutions to automate manual tasks related to events

Research Intern, May 2017 - Aug 2017
- Conducted research on homomorphic encryption & its applications in relational databases (SQL)
- Wrote code to compare performance on different databases for encrypted data
- Co-wrote a research paper on homomorphic encryption for ICCIP’16.
